Lifestyle factors causing Glutathione Depletion

Glutathione is one of the most essential body proteins whose depletion leads to the dysfunction of the vital organs of the body. Reduced levels of this immune booster in the body, weakens the immune system, making the body prone to a number of diseases.

There are certain lifestyle factors which are known to adversely affect the levels of glutathione in the body. Alcohol consumption and smoking are two such factors. These two factors are known to have an ill affect on the body’s GSH level. High concentrations of oxidants are present in the cigarette smoke. Regular exposure to smoke leads to the depletion of the body’s master antioxidant – glutathione.

Excess alcohol consumption also leads to glutathione depletion. Alcohol reduces the GSH level present in the liver. Lowered level of glutathione in the liver lowers down the detoxification of the harmful toxins that get collected in the liver. The presence of toxins cause harm to the healthy body cells which makes an individual weak.

In order to stay fit and healthy, it is necessary that we maintain a good glutathione level in our body. MaxGXL can help us to improve our glutathione level by helping the body cells to increase its production.
